This Privacy Policy explains how Mealful ("Mealful," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Mealful mobile application and related services (the "Service").

•Account details: when you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from that provider. We never see your Google or Apple password.

•Profile and preferences: the answers you give during onboarding and in your profile, such as gender, age, height, weight and weight goal, activity level, calorie goal, diet, disliked foods, and favourite cuisines.

•Your content: meal plans, grocery items, logged meals, favourites, recipes you create or import, and reminder settings.

•Photos: meal photos you take to log a meal, and recipe photos you take to import or save a recipe.

•Subscription status: whether you have Mealful Pro, your plan, and its renewal status. Payments are handled by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details.

•Feedback: any message you send us through the app, along with your email address so we can reply.

•To provide the Service: building meal plans that fit your diet and calorie goal, generating grocery lists, and tracking what you eat.

•To analyse photos: estimating the food, portion size, and nutrition in a meal photo, or reading a recipe from a photo.

•To sync your data across your devices.

•To manage your subscription and the free photo-analysis allowance.

•To respond to your feedback and support requests.

•To keep the Service secure and to comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Some premium features are AI-powered, such as analysing a meal photo or importing a recipe from a photo. To provide them, the photo is processed by a trusted AI service and used only to answer that request.

Meal photos attached to your food log are kept for seven days and then deleted automatically. The nutrition entry itself stays in your log until you delete it.

Photos you add to your own recipes are stored with those recipes until you delete the recipe or your account.

We work with trusted providers for hosting, sign-in, subscriptions, and our AI-powered features. They receive only the information needed to do that work, and process it under their own terms and privacy policies.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of Mealful and its users.

Meal and planning reminders are scheduled on your device. We do not use a push-notification server, and you can turn reminders off at any time in the app or in your device settings.

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, preferences, meal plans, grocery list, food log, and stored photos from our servers.

Subscription records may be kept by the app stores and our subscription provider as required for billing and legal purposes.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Most of your information can be viewed and edited directly in the app. For any other request, contact us at support@mealful.app.

We use industry-standard safeguards, including encrypted connections and per-user access rules on our database. Sign-in tokens are stored in your device's secure keychain. No system is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

Mealful is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by other reasonable means before they take effect.
